To maintain its goal of reducing blood pressure, we must continue to incorporate healthy lifestyle choices even when the desired blood pressure level is reached. These choices include things a person can do every day to continue to keep his blood pressure under control and prevent complications of hypertension.

Eat more fruits and vegetables to increase your daily intake of vitamins and minerals. Maintain a regular schedule of physical activity is another way to prevent complications.

When a person has reached the desired blood pressure, it is often much easier to maintain healthy lifestyle choices. The benefits of these choices, such as increased energy levels and improve mood, encourage more people to keep the new lifestyle choices they have made.
